Here is an elegant mid-1990's Hunter Ceiling fan with copper trim, 3 speed reversible motor, and 42" diameter 5 blade wooden fan. Anyway, this is a very nice fan, with more manageable speed, but takes a while for it to wind down.

I am very pleased with this fan, overall.Not a super easy install for a novice like me, my husband completed the installation well within 2 hours, although the instruction manual was somewhat vague in certain areas, which earned this produce a slightly less than perfect rating.We chose to flush mount the fan and 3-light attachment (bulbs not included) in a smaller bedroom with an 8' ceiling. Two alternative mounting options are included. Remote controlled operation (controller included, batteries are not) is quiet at all speeds and transition is smooth, although there is a slight wobble at the highest setting only. This is a great looking, quality fan that has a contemporary style without being over the top. With a 3 blade design and compact motor housing, it looks a bit anorexic compared to more traditional fans, but this is not a complaint. Even though it is a large diameter sweep, it does not look overwhelming. The graphite side of the blades is dark and matte (like a chalkboard), while the brushed nickel finishes look much better and brighter in person than in any photo I have seen online- including the dismal picture on this product page.This particular ASIN (B00083UKUO) includes the light kit. Unlike the other reviewer, I did not find it particularly hard to install. I have installed 3 ceiling fans during the past 2 months, and 2 of them were Hunter ceiling fans. Other than the fact that this one is quite heavy being a 54-inch fan, there was nothing that gave me a hard time during the installation. If you have a traditional style living room or bedroom, this fan will look great. It takes candelabra-base bulbs, and with four 40W incandescent bulbs our living room seemed kinda gloomy. So we switched to 60W equivalent CFL bulbs. These were regular spiral CFLs with candelabra base. They fit inside the shades without much clearance, so it does not look like ... Installed this fan in our Media room with 9' ceilings and it works great and cool feature that you can't even tell it is a fan until you turn it on. Airflow is fine (have only used it on the low setting so far) and can't hear it at all.Only thing I would improve is I wish it had LED light option instead of fluorescent so the light could be dimmed. I bought this from another company for $200 and change. But money is not the object. Function and design are. I purchased this for a bedroom. I was fooled by the look and regret my purchase. The light is completely inadequate. It takes two sixty watt, candelabra based bulbs, which, through heavy yellow plastic allows very little light. The two other problems I have with this fan are the bulbs are VERY difficult to change out (the light cover, 'down fixture' is not completely removable once installed, so one must hold it whilst changing bulbs, and it is heavy, and in the process it will interfere with functions controlled by the chains and a small down rod (controlling direction) because ...
